    I missed the chassis no. 12799 stamped on the engine as we are in Italy at the moment and I just have my phone. It looks to be from a very very early plexi glass Daytona.

    Hello Marcel,

    Can you help me about the history of 13745.
    After beeing delivered new in Tenerife, in my files and pictures, I have this car in Japan in 2012 painted Rosso with Cuoio. Registration was 13-01.
    In your publication August 2019, the car seems to be in Europe with a sort of Oro paint with Nero interior.
    I saw the car today in Paris-Rétromobile with now the original Bianco Polo paint and pelle Verde.
    Is this descripton correct?

    13745 came to Switzerland in 2012 where it was owned by a Frenchman Mr. D. H.. Then repainted gold metallic and retrimmed with chocolate brown leather. Sold 2016 in Switzerland to Mr. W. L.. 2019 fully restored back to original Bianco Polo 20-W-152 with Verde VM 103 Connolly interior.
    This Daytona was originally completed 7 September 1970.

    Regarding presence in Japan, is it right (see picture)?
    A another aspect is particular on this Daytona: on the car I saw yeterday,the lateral molding is painted verde. Is this was present on the former livery? Do you have a picture of the Daytona in this period?

    Yes, correct. Same car when in Japan.
    As said before, originally Bianco Polo with Verde interior and most probably with the green side stripe.

    would the green painted side stripe be noted on any factory docs?
    my car had a silver side stripe.

    On the more serious note, I personally love these period color combos and believe cars restored to these specs will eventually command premiums from serious collectors.
    I also hope the days of Scuderia Shield stickers on vintage road cars are over soon if not yet.
