Ignore Karen about the handling of a 360. I doubt she's tracked one or asked anyone about the handling.

I, on the other hand, have both, driven and asked, and I can tell you that a 360 turns to **** in a big way. It relies too much on aero and then you hit an undulation and lose downforce BANG..... it's done and dusted.

You really don't want to experience that.

Apart from Turn 1 at Eastern Creek, or the Chase at Bathurst, I can't think of a corner in Australia where the aero grip would be more than a tiny fraction of mechanical grip. Where did you experience this, and how fast were you going?

I thought it was more about the 360 suspension being too soft causing odd camber & toe angles when hitting undulations upsetting the cars geometry causing spins without telling the driver whats about to happen. Or a combo of both.

There have been some terrible fatal accidents in 360's, abruptly losing grip at high speed. They had a rear diffuser before Ferrari understood how to balance downforce.

Must say even after I had the geometry done It still spooks me around fast corners, when it loses traction it doesn’t seem to do it gracefully like on top gear

No I don’t, I enjoy it with a great deal of “respect”,
I was very lucky to have gotten through the first 3 months without serious incident especially with old tyres and bad geometry, it handled very badly indeed, not what you’d call a relaxing and fun first Ferrari experience but I’m finally learning to relax and enjoy the car itself and not its performance if that makes any sense at all

The good thing about upper and lower arms like a Ferrari is that you don't have that!

I did mean at ROAD speeds the 360 isn't likely to be a problem, certainly can be pushed harder than the Abarth; but learning on a track helps to teach what happens closer to the limit.

I made the mistake of driving a 550 at PI straight after getting out of my old 355ch.

That didn't help how I felt about the 550....fast down the straight though.

The 550 is a gentleman's express - one does not muck about on a race track in it, like a ruffian or bounder

Agree Doc....I think the suspension on the 575 was more refined....I’m sure Greg or Ian could chime in....

It's the opposite.... Until the suspension mods came in later making it the same as the 550
