All I will say is this. My friend was considering this car. The owner (if you're on here, by all means, step forward!) has quite the price set up there LOL. The owner told him, a gentleman in California is buying it for $95,000 @Marcel Massini helped me inform my friend, this is a well storied car, and not likely what it appears to be. That said, smarter minds on here certainly than mine, what say ye? now at craiglist he is asking 180.000 for only this one car without engine and gearbox? and a lot of parts also missing. but even the 95.000 are high for a car in this condition. has to be restored completly every morning 1 stupid will awake
While not necessarily Ferraris, people around the world buy far more foolish (old car) projects every day. And as always, there’s nothing wrong about someone’s “asking” price, no matter how ridiculous it may seem to others... ... it’s kind of like one of my vintage cars, which I have no intention or interest selling, but often get “harassed” about its value or price I’d sell it for, so I just give these requestors a number suggesting I’m completely insane and they usually walk away shaking their head.
While "stories cars" might not be great investments they are usually interesting stories. I'm all ears
$370.00? She’s all yours! I’m just playing though, I get what you’re saying, trust me. 8+ years as a buyer/broker, and I’ve seen em all with the price tags to boot! (Or in some cases, some GREAT buys/deals). This one just makes me chuckle. I think because my friend wants it, but nowhere in the stratosphere of this current ask.
Not interested, not a buyer.....but I’m curious what circumstances were set it motion to allow such a cool car to deteriorate to this condition. Maybe it’s just my love of cars.......but hate to see such neglect.
also once baught such a jensen healey - and still have it. but I think not a fool, more an enthusiast
