    The silver trophy - Platino (97 - 100 points)
The glass cup - special major award - “Best 328”

the glass cup is not an annual trophy. Each year, Cavallino honors certain models. The 328 was one of the honored models this year. The field was exceptional. There were many fantastic GTS’s. Mine was the only GTB this year.

I actually love the GTS as well. Ideally, I would have both.

The original underbody anti-corrosion application by Ferrari was Dinitrol. The material is a tacky, waxy compound that’s original color was a golden brown. Over time, from street grime and dirt (and because most of the areas it was applied had a very dark foundation) the coating appears black. This was a common application on cars and heavy machinery from that era, including other Ferrari models. Some consider this material as unsightly and have long ago had this coating removed (often replaced with black paint). Purist desire it.

Though the product serial numbers have been superseded over the years (and the viscosity has slightly changed) the product is still available today. Here it is:

    https://www.dinitroldirect.com/product/dinitrol-metallic-spray/

In addition to the aerosol can, it is also available in larger cans that can be applied with a spray gun. I would suggest you first contact Dinitrol’s head office in Europe and ask about the office in your country to locate where you can buy it locally. Depending on where you live, there may be regulatory issues that impact if the product is available. I hope this helps.

Lastly, where it is applied is important. It does not go on shocks or braking components. It does go on wheel wells, and all throughout the underbelly trays and jacking points. You also often see overspray in the front trunk and the engine bay area.

It's a gorgeous day here in NNJ with temps at 55 degrees. Couldn't resist taking her out, even if it was just for coffee(cafe con leche) at the wife's & my favorite restaurant: Noches de Colombia.
Park her in the corner out of harms way :)

Almost done finally. Put the radio in last weekend and it WORKS. Starting to feel it will be done very soon. Repainting the wheels now so maybe by next weekend the shoes will be on and she’s ready for the final touch polish and waxing.
