Let me ask you a question :
How long did it take to get first picture of production after VIN appeared on MyFerrari app?
I’ve ordered my 812SF early November 2019 with written delivery on June 2020 . Waiting list appeared early December , external and internal options list appeared around Christmas , VIN appeared mid of January . Next step is first picture of production ( chassis just before to be painted ) . That’s why I’m asking you how long it will take . Thanks

 

Well the VIN has never showed up on the myferrari site but the SA gave me the VIN on Jan 10 when he told me I was R10. The first picture showed up when the car got to 50 and that was on Feb. 5.

 

I bet it will, but what sweet agony. I’m following your journey and I‘m looking forward to your report of her arrival. Receiving a new Ferrari is a wonderful thing; especially when it’s a flagship V12. It’s as Enzo intended it to be.

 

I wonder if the 812 will be the last flagship V12?
I suspect one more version at least.
If Europe bans all ICE including hybrids we might as well stop bothering with semi electric cars and go out with a bang.
Meanwhile I hope the OP enjoys that beautiful 812.

 

Not at all . They are already designing the new V12 front engine . It will substitute 812 in 2023

My order was in 8th of November 2019 with promised delivery June 2020 . Car appeared on app waiting list beginning of December . Configuration details appeared just before Christmas . VIN mid January 2020. Finally first picture came yesterday. It seems delivery will be shorter

Oh sorry, crummy writing there. I mean the third/last picture they give you, not the third/last one on this page. I looked at all three and mine, they all look identical. This is the one I was referring to as the last.

OK, mine is finally on the ship and it's headed for a stop in Barcelona and then maybe on the way to New Jersey. Scheduled arrival in NJ is 3/11.

 

Do you have painted shields?

 

Yes. I wanted different wheels and more interior CF but when I found out the painted shields do not delay production, I chose them instead, because if I got all I wanted, I would have landed above my price point.

 

Dealer called me today telling me my car is R60 and delivery should be end of March beginning of April instead end of June . This makes me happy from one side but a little concerned on the other side . It seems everybody are having shorter delivery and IMHO it means there are less customers

 

Well, that's certainly a possibility.
