Indeed, I received mine just prior to Xmas....haven't really had time to look closely at the piece but the packaging was spectacular...

    What do other owners think?

Somehow the thought that an owner who bought a $0.5M car would try to make money off his 1/43 scale model is kind of incongruous. Why not go to the manufacturer and have them make one for you in the color scheme you like or duplicate one already out there? Much better odds of success.

    Sell it, of course not.

Do you really think a owners of a new GTO need to sell a small lost wax cast sculpture--that's an exclusive gift from the factory to the first owners of their car?

I simply asked other owners their thoughts on the model...

Who makes the ones given with the 1:1 MR, Looksmart or BBR. I think its MR collection? For the price of the real car they should be giving a 1:18 atleast lol.

I think it looks great TJ. It's on my desk and the detail is amazing. Ferrari did a fine job and no ... I would never sell it.

I also received my "Certificazione di autenticità" a couple of weeks ago. This looks great. It is the official folder from Ferrari Classiche for the car with all the necessary certs, pictures, descriptions of the car. It is a VIP (Vehicle Identification Pass) but in luxury version. I think it is great that the GTO is already "Classiche" certified from day one. Shows again that the GTO isn't your "every day Ferrari" (not that there is such a thing to begin with).

Agreed on all points as to sculpture--was a nice holiday gift and as usual, especially well packaged by Ferrari...now waiting on VIP/Classiche docs to arrive, along with "model".

As promised, see below (pardon the quality but took them quickly over lunch :) ):

Sounds very cool, was wondering today why there was no VIP with the GTO. Not sure if this was a normal gift but in additio to the sculpture did you also get the carbon fiber humidor, not sure if this was a unique South African gift, in addition we also got a lovely wooden box to store all manuals and documentation in, the inside being lined with suede(will take a picture of this)
