F8 Order Status

I am in the UK and showing waiting list on the app, I have been told November delivery but still nothing certain until it starts production

 

Might be an extended time before any more cars are shipped. Look at this.

So far only a few limited areas of northern Italy, known as “red zones”, have been quarantined, but in a dramatic escalation the draft tells people not to enter or leave Lombardy or 11 provinces in other regions....................In all the areas covered by the decree, including towns in the northern regions of Emilia-Romagna

That would seem to include Maranello and Modena.

 

Wall Street Journal is reporting the same thing...it could impact supply chain. It would be interesting to know what other provinces are affected by the expanded measures.

 

Ok , I have some news..... I was at Ferrari Tampa today to spec out my F8 spider and there was an F8 to be delivered today. I saw the car and it was an out of range color , some sort of red metallic with 140,000 in options . Every carbon fiber bit was on this car. It was gorgeous.
Ps. I did finally drive their F8 demo car which was red tan. Very fast but kinda quiet. I’m just used to a spider so it was a little different to drive a coupe. Defiantly need to pull the valves. Best ,Kirk.

Just found out that my car left Italy two days ago...we may be on the same ship...my dealer is trying to find out the name of the ship...

 

Our cars will be in New York on Thursday. How long it takes to get to the dealer is the wildcard. I've had it take anywhere from 7 days to 21 days to California. Holding my breath...

 

My wife is worried about me getting in the car because of CV, wonder if they will quarantine them?

 

It’s already been self-isolated during the boat ride from shipping.....Enjoy the car and take some pics.

I joke about that all the time, but Art's right. All good to go the minute it arrives.

Nope, no pictures and no VIN. Wouldn't shock me if my car is not on that ship. You never know with Ferrari. The 458 I ordered, arrived 3 weeks early and was missing 3 options and had 2 I didn't order. The dealer just shrugged their shoulders.

Hopefully the two options you got were more than enough to offset the three you didn't...

 

So disappointing, I did not get a VIN at status 20 either..also seems like I won’t get pictures either.

Which port does Ferrari usually ship from?

 

Talk to my dealer. 4 to 6 weeks left. Just disinfect the cars when you get them...

Thought you would like to see some eye candy... My completed car! I did the tricolor buttons but you can’t see them. Color is Nero Daytona, Yellow stitching, yellow seat belts, etc..

Daytona...not the carbon fiber just the upgraded sofas....

 

Curious how long the process has taken from the time you were told production was to begin?

 

My car locked in Nov 12...actual production started late January...
