    Is there such things as a US spec 288? If so, what distinguishes them? Also, if so, were they made US spec at the factory or modified grey market? Thank you.

    No they are all Eu 288 GTOs which you had to collect at the factory (which is why so many have EE touring plates) and import privately, so generally USA cars were modified to varying specs to pass EPA & DOT, at this point every one I know has been returned to factory standard.

    come on! they are the most staged photos ever, every car in there has a Kessel plaque over the number plate - they have clearly been wheeled in for the shot.

    but what a great shot it is - all credit to their marketing department
