The 1968 365 GTB/4 prototype seats are a very stylish design that the later seats somehow didn't achieve to the same degree with their appearance.
The second picture shows a similar theme of seat design pattern that was also done in 1968. This second result was certainly more exotic but in the same context with the red/black pattern theme.

For all the perceived modern demand for a convertible they were of limited appeal in the past. When Ferrari introduced the 365 GTB/4 *S in 1968 it was not a big seller. However as the replacement for the 275 GTB Spyder it sold more than ten times as many cars by 1973.

Another Fly Yellow Daytona Spyder a 1971 build #14699 was brought in for the Montreal Auto Show back then. However after the show that Ferrari was shipped out again and there was no further sign of that Spyder in Quebec.
There was a picture taken of the Spyder at the auto show but like the car it has gone missing...

Thanks for these, but my earlier comment was in reference to the quality of the (OEM ?) hood support struts compared to ones I‘ve made/produced. ;)

Yes mostly original though the infamous Cheney clamps had rusted so gone.

I believe a correct Ferrari Daytona upper radiator hose clamp is a Cheney Double Grip BS3628 and will state all that on the barrel. The strap will say 212/S.

Well, with all due respect, but I see a lot more "missing" or messed with (i.e. non-OEM) things than just few hose clamps. ;)

    Thanks (?).
Many have been sorted since (yesterday) and the hood’s back on (yet again), but still more to go...

Apologies if I've posted this before, but just came across it during archive search.

    ... just kidding ! :D
No 365 GTB/4s (or other vintage vehicles) were abused or harmed during this exercise, although the one sitting on the dolly had been previously subjected to some (hence notes on it), but all that was corrected (healed ?) after the photo was taken.

Very nice Daytona rear. The plate must be decorative/show only as California blue plates only came in 6 digit configurations.
