Steaks. Had some porterhouses, the strips of which I used to make the rice bowl from last week.
Grilled these up on the gasser. Just salt & pepper.
Served with a side salad (funny enough, from our garden! while cleaning out our raised beds for spring planting, I found some leftover lettuce from last season!) & green lentils...T

Went to an Arab market area and got 3 different falafel wraps at Mr. Falafel. They were all great. Made 4 meals out of them...here is one with a slice of each.

When I was in college @ U Florida, there was a place called Falafel King.
Never had Middle Eastern food before. Loved it !

BTW, details on the pan on the right in your Spanish omelette pic?
My old Bialetti (yep, the mokka pot people!) non-stick pan is starting to show its age.
So, I'm starting the hunt for a worthy replacement.

well, I'm not sure, it came with the flat...and the nonstick, sticks...sorry, no help. I have a set of calphalon non stick skillets in the USA that I loved and iirc they were something like $50 for all 3 (small, medium, large) on some sort of "deal/sale" at Macy's iirc many years ago.

Not happy about this "stay in" covid-19 approach...we decided to at least order takeaway from a close-by Indian place while going out is still allowed by law. So we ordered a feast that should last us a couple of days:

    Onion bhaji
    Tandoori chicken
    Tandoor lamb chops
    Shrimp makhani
    Mushroom and peas paneer
    Aloo Gobi
    Okra potato
    Jeera rice
    Garlic naan

Not bad, but far from great Indian. But it was an empty 5-minute walk to an empty restaurant (only 2 tables occupied) to pick this up and hopefully was worth the risk of venturing out...

I want to say they used to be near corner of 13th and University, but it's been dog years since I was in college. Last time I visited Hog Town, I barely recognized any of the places off campus.

We cooked some homemade "Tandoori chicken" tonight. We marinated it starting over 24 hours ago in yogurt and and a veritable Indian-kitchen-sink of spices. Then cooked it under the gas broiler at the flat. It came out excellent. Best Indian protein we have yet pulled off.

We added the leftover Indian food from last night (veggies and naan only) and served it with the chicken.

Ironically the chicken we made was the hottest thing on the plate...got a bit carried away with the spices I guess...

(In the oven rack pic - the larger slightly-burned looking things in the pic are leftover onion bhaji that we reheated when the chicken was finishing under the broiler).

    Well, no pics, sorry.

I made a rare seared Ahi tuna appetizer with a wasabi and Braggs liquid amino dip.

Then I made hamburgers.... Bought a sirloin tip and ran it through the meat grinder with a bunch of suet I cut off of a whole ribeye. It made some nice fatty/flavorful hamburger when cooked on a hot grill.

Tell us more about your meat grinder. Mechanical? Electric? Kitchen Aid attachment? Something else? I've been thinking about getting a grinder...T

Yep, that's the wife! Prepper wannabe, Costco enthusiast, biochemist and germaphobe. As you can imagine, she's been on top of this for weeks. We have about 2 months of dry and non-perishable food in the house. Luckily, I was able to sneak in some chicken thighs on the que tonight, before she has us eating hardtack and bully beef! [emoji2]

Chicken thighs. Bone in. Took the skin off. Coat with Cajun seasoning and a little Montreal chicken seasoning. About half way done in these pics.
