Fettuccini al ragu........(My son’s plate- no fettuccini for me).... Yes the sauce and cheese were mounted into the pasta, he always gets an extra dollop top.

My son and I always reminisce of the episode where Richard Hammond is going around Italy asking for “spaghetti bolognese” and all the Italians look at him not knowing what it is and Clarkson eats the tagliatelle al ragu...........

Here's what it looked like before I put it up for the night. It wasnt quite done but I was getting tired (drank too much), so I wrapped it up and put it in the fridge. Will reheat it in the oven today before cutting into it.

Smoking a brisket as I say, 30 min of busy work, 12 hours of beer drinking!

Slow cooking pinto beans. Onions, garlic, cumin, salt and pepper. I'd have sneaked in a little cayenne, but wife is working from home. Not sure the end game, but the wife ordered it, so I'm following orders! [emoji2]

Ania is working tonight, so I'm on my own...thus how could I be both lazy and appropriately follow-up on a Tuna Sandwich?

Yup......its PB&J night (first one in at least 20 years, maybe 30).

Of course I crunched up some fritos inside...I am also now certain that I've eaten more white bread in the past 36 hours than in the past 36 years combined.

[the only reason we even have this stuff - like tuna and peanut butter - is because of that damn virus...so trying to make the proverbial lemonade out of lemons]

    Fritos? On PBJ? [emoji15]

Biggest challenge thus far has been finding space for all the stuff that the Prepper in Chief has bought. But, if that's our biggest virus issue, that'll be OK by me.

Am thinking that I need to make up corn bread to go with the pinto beans.

You didn't put potato chips on PB&J when you were a kid?!?

I haven't bought potato chips in a long time, but we did try to buy some tortilla chips here for when we made some guacamole...but they don't really have them here. The closest I found were Old El Paseo "torilla strips", so we grabbed those a while back and when we opened them we were surprised to find that they were virtually identical to Fritos. Who knew there was a Fritos competitor? Not me...

I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to buy Fritos anyways, so this was a rare treat. :)

Speaking of "stuff", I'm too embarrassed to post a pic of the huge stack of bottled water and 2 largish boxes of canned food and dried pasta, etc.

Is too dry but still easy to chew. I think not getting the temp up to 225 -250 made the fat not render down like it should. But still tasty.

Dude...potato chips on PBJ? That sounds like something Elvis would eat! My only experience with Fritos as a kid was when my mom would send to this evangelical mission to get free lunch. Same thing every day - spiced ham & cheese sammich, cup of orange / pineapple juice, and a hand full of Fritos. The pastor would harangue us about sin & eternal damnation while we munched lunch. I just remember thinking - corn chips with lunch, this must be what rich kids eat! [emoji2]

That looks like a flat only, which is leaner than the point, so it is more prone to dry out. Higher temps also more likely to dry out. For a flat, I stop at 195 F internal. I would think about using aluminum foil for the final smoking when you're trying to get it up to your target temp.

^ We did both chips and Fritos on BPJ. Not at the same time. That would be gross. :D

Thinking old school I need a grilled cheese.

That was my other problem was I'm not sure my thermometer was functioning properly. I honestly didn't get the temp up to 200 until after 2 hours.

I want to add on to AZ's pbj and fritos. While that sounds disgusting to me, I'm a big fan of chips on sandwiches.

Well, no pics again but a boneless leg of lamb, smothered in minced garlic and fresh chopped rosemary, with potatoes and onions cooked in the bottom of the baking pan.

    Yum, needless to say.

Wife asked for corn bread to go with her pinto beans.
Sure, why not! A little fresh grated sharp cheddar & a healthy chug of Tabasco.

Left over ribs!!!!! Did a run to Walmart for my mom. Prescription pick up. The pharmacist was in mask and gloves. They also practiced social distancing. It was weird...………….. Lots of people in the store with masks on too. I didn't like touching the terminal to pay, everywhere else has tap pay. For those not aware of tap pay, you just touch your credit card to a terminal and you pay!
