    Is there any recipy to make the old sticky gaskets easy to remove in the hard to reach areas?

    I found some chemicals including Permatex that ease off removing the old gaskets.

    Sark, I use a razor blade type paint scraper for the tough ones that don't come off cleanly. It works well, but you have to be careful not to gouge aluminum surfaces with it tho' Chemicals & solvents will certainly soften up the gaskets and make the scraping a lot easier.
