For anyone who is interested, here’s a post documenting the process of bringing a seriously neglected 360 Spider back to life.
This project took about 3 months and all the work was done by my father and myself. We had no prior experience working on Ferrari’s before this, but we do have many years of automotive experience as well as aircraft maintenance experience.
I know some of the mods to this car (tinted headlights, lowered suspension, aftermarket wheels, aftermarket audio, etc.) are probably against the taste of most Ferrari purists, but it turned out exactly how we had hoped and it runs like new.

Here’s a list of what we did to the car:
Major engine service (all belts, seals, spark plugs, filters, intake gaskets, new water pump and thermostat, all fluids flushed)
New gearbox heat exchanger. The old one failed causing coolant in the gearbox and oil in the cooling system. We flushed the gearbox and cooling system 10 times each at 10 mile intervals, until clean fluid could be extracted from both systems.
    New F1 pump and relay
    New led lights all around
    New convertible top fabric
    Painted calipers yellow
New Stance 19” wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires
    Hamann Tuning carbon front splitter
    Side marker lights deleted
    Lowered on the factory coilovers
Full paint correction and ceramic coating
Interior was completely removed and restored. All silver metal was powder coated. Worn leather was re-dyed. New PRV Audio system with Pioneer head unit.

I’m sure there are many small details I’m forgetting to mention on this list, but if anyone has any questions I am happy to answer them. Thanks for taking a look at our project car!

great efforts and great results. Happy for you.

I just cleared my coolant-filled gearbox too. I found that to open up the gearbox from the rear (black crash structure like) is EASIER than flush it multiple times. open up the differential is even easier.

When I heard restoration , I got excited. I am interested in the bolts and nuts from factory ---- small stuff. i.e. what oem look like. I think a lot of restorers want that too.

    Nice job!

Did you happen to cut open the heat exchanger to see what it looked like inside?

Thanks! We actually did open the rear crash structure on the gearbox and that helped significantly in cleaning it out.

Thanks! Yes, we did cut open the heat exchanger. It had some signs of corrosion, but it was hard to see exactly where it failed.

Curious why would you tint your head lights ?

I really didn’t want to and it’s not a permanent solution, but they were fogged on the inside of the lens. The tint is doing a good job of hiding the foggy spots for now.

    Thank you for sharing.
That pic with the new HX allowed me to visualize and contemplate using an external air-to coolant HX instead as a few others have done.
    Bravo! Car looks great man.
    Enjoy

Thank you. I believe that was a 911 with a slant nose conversion.

Tell me more about the tinted headlights. Is it painted, filmed or aftermarket parts? If painted or filmed, is it reversible?

It is a thin vinyl film. It is completely removable and leaves no residue on the lens. The product is VVIVID+ LIGHT SMOKE AIR-TINT[emoji768] HEADLIGHT TINT

I think it looks gorgeous. Big fan of the black wheels with that color scheme. What sort of money did you end up having in the whole project? And did you keep track of your hours?

Thank you. We ended up with about 250 hrs of labor and around 15k for all the parts and upgrades.

Actually we just do car, boat, and airplane restorations as a hobby. Construction is the business [emoji16]. We did all the work in our hangar.

Thank you! Great idea with the headlight tint. Definitely something to consider if/when my lens fogging gets worse. I like the look!
