What are they? They are kind of like the image 3 piece but not. The reverse lip (bead on the back makes the front clean but I guess reduces caliper clearance... I've always wondered if they actually hold the tire as well as I only see that design on what I'd call bling wheels vs race wheels??.....but that could just be the caliper clearance thing and 308 brakes don't exactly have wheel clearance issues since they were designed for the original 14" wheels I guess.
Built the structure for the front end today, one piece and removable Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Its coming along I just wonder if that fuel tank location is the best? Its a lot of weight (especially when full) hanging behind and up high. It will not be great for handling. Or are you planning on only going straight
Wheels are shipping out to me this next week finally, the virus delayed things for about 30 days Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

My next trick will be to split the hood in half and widen the entire hood for tire coverage, have a small reveal similar to F 40 yet still maintain the 308, steel is real
Looking good and thanks for the price update on the wheels. So just under 1k for shipping, duty, taxes, etc? Total time from order to delivery of 3 wheels? ;-)
Absolutely, I have a milk crate of original parts that go with it, it’s all bolt on, might update the air con, because race car
I already have it, Ferrari trusts me. Ok which one of you has beater F40 seats you want to donate to this project, I believe it’s a write off for you
Yes the 4th wheel came in, 3 from Bell Calif and missing one from Carson, Nitto Dot race tires come in today and Wednesday. I’m starting to get pretty excited that it will be rolling on permanent wheels soon, it’s helping me forget that I purchased a jet engine with no future purpose

That looks insane...I mean PERFECT Now remind me, where is the HP to turn those monster tires coming from? I remember seeing pics of a great looking 2v carb engine but you've probably go 800+hp worth of traction at this point so those 2 don't seem a match.....at least not without oh...20psi of boost?
This is easy, I simply say “it’s a carbed Ferrari” right there is about 650 horsepower to people who don’t know any better, then i say stuff like “electromotive ignition” and “race clutch” that’s good for another 100, plus it will be straight piped, so just starting it up in front of the grocery store or NAPA should spread enough rumors “that guys insane”
Also for those following along, 5k for the car, 10k for the engine and adventure to get it, $2600. To have the forged wheels made and shipped, $1250 for the tires, I traded the old roller wheels for the stock radiator, I now need Ferrari seat, and little dodads to get the going, clutch cable, throttle cable, brake master, tiny stuff. I’m hoping to have this car at 20k running driving, depends on whatever Ferrari seats fall in my lap, trying to use all Ferrari stuff. #StreetFreak I will be putting these wheels on my other 308 just to see what’s what, having this car has kept my other one safe from going off to the rendering plant
yeah...my 308 project started with a very modest and reasonable budget too.......ahhh.....those were the days........
