I do have some jalapenos, but I don't want to waste them because I eat them raw with whatever meat I'm eating. :)

Another pot pie. I might have to do this. Looks great!

It's a chuck roast this time. When meat was low at the start of all this craziness I bought what I could at the time.

Raw. I slice them and put a fork on one of the sliced peppers and then into the meat.

There was one earlier with great looking food and your gnarly fingernail that was both appetizing and . . . not. ;)

haha. Believe me , as long as my family and I are healthy.. All is good! Yes still in the road, did a produce run again from Norcal to Alabama, then picked up chicken from Alabama to Dallas . Waiting for next order to head back to LA to see the family for a few days . Hopefully a couple more weeks things get back to normal and drivers want to come back to work .

Chuck roast is great for slow cooking. Value priced and you can get a big honking piece so you can make multiple meals at once.

I like them pickled. Takes a bit of the edge of the heat, and the acid of the vinegar goes good with fatty meats.

Yeah, smoked chuck's like a po' man's brisket, only a lot, uh, richer.

Gonna wait - no sale prices on meats these days & though a chuck roast used to be dirt cheap, eh, no. Just what I'm conditioned to.

We love chuck eye, though. When spotted, I buy 'em all.

Yeah. I fear that chuck roast has been "discovered" which when combined with the current situation means prices may never return to $2/lb territory.

Chuck eye is great. But, let's keep it on the downlow, please. Last thing we need is for the general public to find out & have it go the way of hangar steak!

I only like pickled jalapenos with brisket. I've tried both ways and pickled is definitely better with bbq. However I do not like pickled onions on anything. I prefer them raw because of the crunch and flavor.

I'll see how this chuck shoulder goes, but I'm still not big on it. I did sear it this time with some of the onions and then deglazed the pan with a bit of the french press beer before dumping it into the crockpot.

I forgot in the photo about the Worcestershire and I changed the tabasco to regular hot sauce. I'm thinking about cooking up some bacon and adding it around lunch time.
