Smaller plenum is a better option for a Turbo. Also they have changed the throttle bodies position.

right, I was confused by the comment. If outright performance is the goal get a 720S and tune it.

I have liked most of dan's automotive work for many years.
He's entertaining and thoughtful. He also knows his stuff.
That's probably why he won a Pulitzer Prize.

Is this with carbon front bumper insert but not carbon bits under the front bumper? I changed spec at last min and dropped all external carbon, not really sure how it will look but hopefully will find out soon [emoji1694]

my rule of thumb is to use CF on surfaces that are quite visible as you walk around the car, anything well below knee level I passed on. For me this config does the trick and saves $.

He likes the car but calls the Ferrari drivers jackasses. It says a lot about his knowledge of Ferraris, i.e. not any more than any other auto jounalist. Stereotyping just to be funny.

I am beginning to wonder the value proposition of waiting for an allocation for the F8. I was offered a new Pista at MSRP (wrong color for me} in lieu of waiting for a distant allocation since the factory is shuttered (second call today). Six months is a long time in this competitive market. I wonder if interest will wain among many of us waiting for an allocation. To meet 2020 European emissions stipulations if will be interesting if this car will run its full production cycle. Many buyers of Pistas appear to be consigning their cars back for the dealers. Difficult times ,we may see F8 co-signed back to dealers soon.

In the opening paragraph, no less. And, notice that he mentions that he ran the car up to 170 mph on public roads - which is probably why he calls Ferrari drivers friendless jackasses. All in the name of "journalism," I suppose.

With the Pista and the F8, Ferrari finally got the front of the car right and congruent with the rest of the design. My eyes see extreme beauty in both of these models.

I was in the same position and took the Pista. Really liked many things about the F8, hence was ready to buy one. I preferred the Pista personally. In terms of value proposition, Pista might have a slight advantage long term though that should not be the main reason for choosing one over the other. The overall appearance of Pista and the tilt toward sport vs GT in various aspects of the car won me over.

I, too, have been offered Pistas several times, while I wait for my F8. Being new to the brand, it’s interesting to see how quickly values are falling. I’ve also been offered two F8’s in which the original buyers walked. Weren’t the right specs for my liking though. Such a messed up world at the moment. I’m still hanging in for now with my order, but if it gets pushed out quite a bit, I’ll likely lose interest and make a play for something else. FWIW, my C8 vette is fantastic and plenty of fun at the moment. The halo variant will be bonkers. Ride quality and electronics are excellent.
