Damn that looks really good!
Thanks! It's different, car is much longer but it was wet so I just went around the block. I will try to get out today and test it a bit more thoroughly. No, but got a good trade. I made sure they acknowledged that I took the car under adverse circumstances. They delivered the car to me, made it easy to get everything done.
Can you share with us how much you got on the trade? Presumably it was on a 488 (judging from the license plate on the 812).
Yes, it was a 2018 488 spider with 4500 miles and a $319k sticker. I got $250k on trade. So it cost me $70k of depreciation to drive it for 2 years. I lost $65k in one year on my Cali T HS when I traded it in May 2018 for the 488. I probably should have asked for $260k on the trade because he was quick to give me $25k extra. I had already expected $225k offered on trade based on some Manheim auction data shared on another thread back in January. That is exactly what they were planning to offer before I said I had thought about not taking the car. He told me that they went back to October auction data to offer the higher price.
It's longer, wider and the seats are bigger I believe. The Portofino seats are nice but the 812 seats are better and that is the judgement of my wife who owns the Portofino. There is more legroom in the 812 and I like the hatchback better than the micro seats in the back of the Portofino. The engine noise is amazing. I still have to get out and drive it though.
You did very well on the 488 trade. You lost about 20% for two years of use, which is not bad at all. It is good to keep the dealer happy in these transactions. If you are regularly buying new cars, you don't really want to do a victory lap on the dealer. An extra 5K for them may help you on a future allocation.
My 812 is complete . It was supposed to be shipped to Milan the week between 16th-21st of March but factory locked down that week . Still waiting to reopen . Rumors are for 14th of April at the moment
Is this in Europe?. As mine arrived 2 weeks ago with GPF. It will be interesting to check if your have it
Ok, please let me know if yours also has GPF. How I know mine has it is with the MODIS codes for your order. Your dealer knows them: F152DB 2P V12 EURO6D GPF EU AD I still haven't hear mine as per the lockdown COVID, the car is still at the dealer Thanks!
Yes red caliper , rosso corsa color, dark grey matte wheels , ceramic black exhaust ends ,logo scuderia Ferrari shields and black rear diffuser
Rosso Corsa 812 with red calipers and dark grey matte wheels is just too beautiful. Why do people invest in paintings? This car is the ultimate work of art!
My favourite color on 812 was Blu Pozzi but it was s a dark color and in summer time is not comfortable even because A/C is not really powerful . Very difficult to maintain , you can see scratches everywhere and you need to polish it quite often . Last but not least I’m coming from a F12 white , I’ve been in love with it , but almost everybody were asking me : nice car but why white ? Ferrari has to be red , 5 cents more but reed. I bought it red this time for all this reasons
Some people think if you buy a red Ferrari, you lack sophistication. Some think Ferrari's should only be red. It is all personal choice. For me, I hope to never own a non-red Ferrari LOL.
