I really have taken pride in the condition of my cars.I purchased the car several years ago and the first thing I wanted to do was make the car as perfect s possible. Although the car was restored when I purchased it it needed some TLC. The first thing I did was to send it to my mechanic to change all the fluids and make sure that brakes worked properly. This trip also included replacing the tires and had a front end alignment. Secondly I focused on making sure all of my gauges were working properly that included changing the dash bulbs so they are bright. I also wanted the equalizer to work properly. This may seem minor but I was anal about this. The AC was charged and works as it should. All switches work properly. Next I focused on the suspension. All bushings and tie rods were replaced.Of course I wanted to protect the paint so I had a clear bra installed. The car drives great and shifts beautifully. Hope this provides a little more insight on the condition of the car. Prices of the 512BBi have come down over the years and the price I am asking reflects this. if it was brought into the usa in period, do you know who did the homologation?
does it still have all the usa specific changes, or have they been reversed?
do you have any info on the ownerships prior you?

These are great questions. I have attached documentation verifying that the date of entry was 5-2-83. Documentation also confirms that the vehicle conforms with Federal emission requirement. EPA file # 23408. Not sure who did homologation. It still has the USA specific changes. I do have ownership history dating back to 2000. Records show that one of the owners owned the car from at least 2000 to 2003. The vehicle then changed hands in 2004 where it resided with the same owner for the next 10 years from 2004 to 2014. The car spent most of its life in California from at least 2000 to 2014. I purchased the car 2016. Car passed California smog check (VIR) 4/11/06. I have records dated back to 2000 when kilometer reading was 25,371. I hope this answers your questions.

this is useful info for this model, given that it was never imported officially.
is there a tag in the driver's door jam covered in clear plastic? that was one of the usual places that it was placed.
you can also ask marcel massini for some help - he is on the site.

the other thing that will be useful, and you probably have this, is maximum detail on what has been done within the last 10 years - engine out, gaskets replaced, hoses replaced, wiring replaced, etc etc.

assuming the car is in the great shape you say it is, all of this supplemental documentation will help you make a sale at the number you are looking for.
btw, if you do have all of this, then i think your price is too low. but i have not seen it in person obviously.

I assume this is what you are referring to. Here are some pics of the cloth inserts. The door inserts look original. The seats look like they have been new inserts as part of the restoration.

What do you think the correct price should be. I traded a 1997 Diablo roadster with 9K miles, a great example of a red 328 GTS Ferrari with low miles, a 2005 lingenfelter Corvette convertible twin turbo and cash.

It does appear that way. The cloth in the door panels look original and in great shape. The good new is that it confirms that the car more than likely was built with this rare option. They do look great. I really like the contrast and that they are different than most.
