    $500K for plumbing, wiring, windows, etc.

    All the ugly tacked on extensions would have to be replaced. At least $1m

    $500K for landscaping

    And when you're finished, it's still in Windsor.

    Yep 100% Ian..Our house and grounds are listed..It’s a pain in the arse and you are handcuffed to the council...But as with everything there are ways around it...It just costs more...

    But you end up living in a home with loads of history and character, important if you’re in a drab suburb like Windsor or Pymble [emoji3] We went through a painful process with council etc but happy we persisted. The cost and time involved becomes irrelevant if it’s a long term family home. Adrian, if it floats your boat, go for it
