My 360 Spider popped a CEL yesterday. Feels mechanically sound. My NX501 OBD2/EOBD tool says there aren't any codes. Is the tool just not reading properly?

Is your tool able to read both ECUs ?

Hey Eric. It detects both ECUs, but I only saw relevant data from one of them.

Greg, that's probably why you don't see the DTC which set the CEL.
You need to connect to each of the ECU and read the DTCs, if any, in each of them.

In the US, the single connection for the OBD2 under the dash will read OBD codes from both ECUs. That is because … it's the law. The smog shops have to be able to detect the OBD code to pass or fail the car and all they have is one single OBD2 connection. Therefore, Ferrari somehow allow codes for both sides to be read from a single port. I guess the two ECUs talk to each other. As to why the CEL does not show up, may be because it is not emission related.

But, from that one connection, only live data for one bank is visible.

Here is a trick I learned from @imahorse that may end up being your issue. I have a Foxwell 510, that for some reason could never read the right side ECU,even though it could see it in the software. Turning on the immobilizer prior to reading codes fixed this issue. You may try and see if you have a similar situation.

    You mean "deactivate" the immobilizer?
