Which years and models should or shouldn’t have them Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Trying to be a purist was the quarter panel badge an option or model specific?? Trying to keep this 90 Cab original but kinda like the look of the badge Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Do you mean 'shield'? You should have a Cavallino on the front grill, and to the left of the license plate, and "Mondial T" script to the right of the license plate. I believe that is all from the factory (excluding the PF script badges under both egg crate breathers on rear Q's)
Thanks. Don’t want to put cheesy stickers on panels anyway. I wonder if any of the Mondial shad the badge Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
You can search around here but I believe the 1998 model year 550 and 355's were the first 'factory' shield cars Do whatever you think looks good, it's your car.
No Mondial ever came from the Factory with fender shields. Well, not the '80 through '93 models anyway. Not sure about the 500 Mondial from the 50's. https://www.ferrari.com/en-US/auto/500-mondial
I'm not a fan of shields on any Ferrari except actual race cars. They're the insignia for the racing team and I think that's where they belong. That said I do think they look nice on some cars and ultimately I agree that your car is your car to do with what you please, especially if it's easily reversible. I do believe there are some good quality magnetic shields on the market that look much better than the stickers. Not sure where to find them but likely someone here has them.
