    I ordered mine without as well. I was pretty sure it was a vinyl decal, but again I could be mistaken.

    The ones I saw at "Universo Ferrari" in September had decals. So it's an easy fix should one desire to add it later.

    The demo at the Las Vegas dealer has the partial black hood option and it’s definitely a matte black paint. They did a sloppy job, with paint splatter on other parts of the hood.

    It is painted........either the color of the car (no charge) or matte black (as a option). I saw good photos of both and went with black. Since it is plastic - I did not think it matched the car color very well.

    it’s not a sticker, it’s a $1200 option to get a black plastic section like that. Otherwise, it’s body colored. Option “COLL” and it’s actually $1266.

    I agree. At our dealer there were 2 cars on show. Interesting both had the black painted section . However one looked ok insofar that it was following a curve but the other one just looked crap as if tape was used and had angles :(

    The other question I would have if the bonnet was getting PPF what would one do ? Cut that section out and put matt PPF or cover the whole bonnet and it would be gloss. Wonder what the Pista guys have done

    Its not a separate part, its just matt black paint. To prove this open the bonnet and you will see.

    Correct. Early cars (preproduction cars I saw at Universo Ferrari) seemed to have had a vinyl decal, later (for the dealer demos) they seem to have switched to painiting it (quite sloppily and with a noticeable tape edge on the ones I saw). That is why I deleted it and will add matte vinyl after PPF.

    My Pista is bianco italia so the whole car got the Gloss PPF and the cowl area in matte black and looks great.
