Thinking of moving from Lusso to 812. Anyone have feedback?
Concerns they are too similar to each other?
@$300k the 812 is now $150k depreciated (in this instance) and within $50k of good 2017 F12's.

    Bring it on....

    IKR!
Reasoning is...Lussov12 is surprisingly good, but for me lacking the extra x% to make it epic.
600lbs lighter, another 80+/- HP, rwd, less sound deadening...should be an angry beast vs the Lusso, right?

I've done exactly that. Did everything possible with the Lusso: summer holidays, winter holidays, long and fast autobahn storms, airport runs etc
Brilliant car but for fast and curvy driving it's simply a bit too heavy. A fantastic compromise but I've decided to go for something a bit more boring as a family DD and take an 812 next to it.

I think the 812 is probably going to be better than the Lusso but I haven't owned a Lusso. The 812 has a very roomy cabin with plenty of storage in the back. With the full electric seats you get comfort in a GT car that screams insanely. You only get one passenger in the 812 but that's plenty for me. I have the Range Rover to carry more people. Being a 458 lover, you will love the 812 much more, it sounds better and it's waaaaaaay faster but NA. I wondered why you bought the Lusso to begin with given your opinion of the 488.

    Appreciate the thoughts.
Dont get me wrong, the Lusso is much better for me than a 488. The V12 wail is so fantastic vs the turbo whimper.
I'd wanted to try the Lusso and happy to have done so. Life short, try diff, yada yada.

Are you saying 812's are 150k off MSRP or the initial premium value over list ?

I haven’t owned Lusso but test drove FF and Lusso. Originally was trying to find a daily that I could drive in winter with a V12. Drove an 812 afterwords on the same day and ended up buying 812+Urus combo instead. Absolutely love the 812.

I was recently quoted $375K on a 20' w/300 miles and a $550K MSRP. They cant move it. I thought about it but the F12 is pretty darn good and I am not ready to let it go.

At that price your downside is limited if you keep it and drive it for a year. Maybe $30k which is cheaper than driving a BMW 5 series.

Why not? Its a super car that you can drive daily and to some extent it is under the radar. 800HP V12... It sounds decent as well.

Have both and love them differently, they are not as alike as people might think. Yes 812 is very nimble etc. A great GT car, it’s honestly the perfect balance between and sports and GT car. I will probably never sell mine and just drive it forever or until something else meets the same package criteria in a more impressive way.

Did you have an F12 before the 812? If so, what are your thoughts between the two?

Great question. Esp since F12 is ~$240k for the similar spec.

I was not so fortunate to get into the Ferrari game when the F12 was in its prime. A few here have commented on this quite a bit and there are a couple of threads comparing them. From what I recall the 812 seems more sorted than the F12 and is also a bit more extreme in handling plus has the ability to be a few cars in one (crazy or calm more pronounced).

Yeah the F12 is pretty raw and if your tires aren't warm you better be careful. The sound I think is more pure as well since it doesn't have the GPF. The 812 to me seems more refined but I dont have firsthand knowledge.
