We got a group buy going on on a different site. $450 if we buy 30+. We are upto 17 without counting me as I'm on the fence because people state they are coverage holes with each model year they have tried with the knock off units in the past and I have a F1 and if I have time, want to experiment with something that has currently not been done.

I did find this link from 3 threads posted on this forum all from the same user (tstuli).

PM me for info and if you are not a member there already and do not want to join, I'll post something.

I guess I’m trying to understand what makes this special compared to the myriad of other options? I also don’t understand how this relates to the old F1 transmissions.

Is this a genuine unit, with factory post- sales support? (Ie: software updates, glitches, etc).

If it IS, then I'm in. I am not a member over there.

Regular price on this is 699. There are other options but just posting this here if everyone is interested.
Best option would be getting a SD2, 3, 4 etc and splitting between a couple of people and ship it around. Only problem is you would have to wait to get it and finding truth worthy people.

Wish I hadn’t recently bought one. Otherwise I would be in. I paid $635.

Same here, I just bought it recently, it's great unit. I paid $600, and it's worth every penny. At $450, I consider it a no brainer

Guy updated the thread in the other forum. I contacted launch china through email and asked how much for 20-30. They said $600 plus freight.
PM me for the link if you want.
Total cost for the unit on the group buy there is $590 including taxes and USPS shipping.
Currently flying and work busy so PM replies might be delayed.

I just paid $690 for one of these on Amazon. Got it two days later. Hardly worth the effort and time delay for a group buy.

The company, Launch Tech USA (http://launchtechusa.com/) doesn't manufacture or sell the Launch Pros Mini, or many other similar Launch branded products. They apparently license their software to at least one company called Launch Tech Co., LTD who sells Chinese made, and presumably licensed, Launch products. Launch Tech USA doesn't support anything but their own manufactured products.

If you need any support, you'll have to get it from the company that produced it and if it's a Launch Pros Mini, that will probably be coming from China.

I just bought a 2020 version on EBay for $645 plus tax. I made an offer of $600 and they counter offered $645.

I bought the Launch X-431 V a couple weeks ago. It has come in handy on my Audi for doing the brakes (EPB), but I’m not comfortable enough with it yet to plug it into my 430.

FYI this is the Chinese version, and when it updates, the Android OS warns you that it’s installing an app that can track you (if you care). Image Unavailable, Please Login

I have one and I am so - so on its utility. The biggest issue for me is total lack of after sales TECH support. There is no email, no phone number, no person to contact if and when you need technical help. The sales contact is all you have and that does not get you any technical answer. The whole thing is done in China and the time delay for an answer is not helpful.

It worked on my Audi, Ferrari 360, Porsche 996/997 (does not read over-revs like Durametric), BMW E60/61 and a 2006 Lexus. It did not work to reset the brake light on a 2014 3-series BMW (command did not reset the light), did not connect to a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer through its OBD2 port (wants to use the Mitsu connector, why?). And it is really slow if you want to scan the whole car.

There have been a few cases where it tells me to update its software in order to connect to a car and I know I have the latest version. This is going to be a big problem after the 2 years software update free period is up. The tool is likely going to be useless unless you pay another $500.

So far, I would give it a 6 out of 10. Useful for a DIY but not great for a shop.
