Too many variables in those data, Ian. It needs some explanatory notes as to how each datum point was arrived at. For a start, daily infection rate is a rolling figure. PP couldn't figure this out if he lived to be a million.
The way I see it, the aim was to flatten the curve in order to not overload ICU units and allow for more time to increase ICU capacity. This has been achieved way beyond expectations. The health system can cope now, time to lift restrictions. People will continue to get sick and some will die and that's just the way it is as there will be no vaccine readily available anytime soon. Morrison has diverted all the attention to the State Premiers who are behaving like squabbling siblings. They all need to be told to STFU and get on with it
