I was fumbling around trying to turn the cruise control off (not sure how it got turned on) and discovered there's like 8 buttons on the back side of my steering wheel! So far I have figured out volume up/volume down. Toggle radio/media sources. Windshield wiper swipe. Not sure what the rest do yet. Who else knew and didn't tell me?

I have a PDF of a manual that someone linked here for a free d/l. It says what they do. I can't load it as it is too large though.

There are a few of those buttons on the bottom of the rear view mirror as well.

I RTFM but not really. I just skimmed sections.
Made the same unexpected discovery one day. They are a welcome addition. Best part? They’ll never go sticky.
Did you know you can also toggle the large R TFT knob left and right instead of rotating it? Why? Dunno, but it’s cool.

All Italian women have secret buttons.

    Push them at your peril.

this is such a good one. Much better than the tiresome 458 vs 488 vs F8 thread.

When I got my car a few months ago it drove me nuts that I couldnt control the media unless I was in media or music. Then did some searching here and was very happy to learn about those buttons behind wheel that allowed you to do it

Guys, err, do any of you actually read your owners manual? If you did, you'd know about the buttons, the hidden features and how to set the cruise control. C'mon, it's not that hard to read;)

If you guys drive a Dodge Dart you will find the exact same buttons on the back of its steering wheel. I guess Ferrari had to find one component from the Chrysler parts bin.

I now about all of the buttons, but, as long as there is growling and tire screeching, who needs them?

I learned on here that there were buttons on the ceiling. Sure enough they were there. Haven't used them though. I tried to read the manual but it was too long and boring of a read. Use it for a reference but FChat is where you learn things. Driving it holds my attention.

Ha! Still waiting on my ‘new to me’ 488 to arrive so what else to do other than read all 270 pages! I did learn despite all the talk of driving in Race mode along with the Bumpy road option actually puts the car in Comfort mode, taking it out of Race mode even though it still displays ‘Race’.

Re-read, The Schumacher button places only the suspension in comfort mode, not the engine, traction control, torque, all the other settings.
