Harry’s reviews are honest and tops. it is rare to get what I consider unbiased reviews— He has the means to drive anything he likes. He is not selling anything of beholden to sponsors.
I have owned my 3 pedal coupe for 177 months now. I'm still amused when I think how a wrote a big check, then got to drive it away. Still the only 430 I have driven. Didn't know if I would keep it a week, a year or what. I bought an expensive pig in a poke and now I've had it longer than any other car I ever owned. Dave
You beat me to it, love Harry Metcalfe, his reviews are top notch... after watching his review of the Maserati Gran Turismo S with the MC shift went and bought one, he had it pegged to a T... glad he liked the F430. I think over time it will be remembered as one of the greats, not the fastest but one with just the right mix...
Love watching Harry's reviews..he is always spot on...he was always smiling each time he ran through the gears. I think as time moves on the F430 will be considered one of the greatest classic Ferrari's ever produced..!
Bought my 07 430 spider new with 6MT. Over 45k miles and I still smile every time I accelerate Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
Great review. My wife and I were able to get out into the countryside today. Top down, gated 6 speed 360! Fun drive! Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
I agree with Harry the Manual is a keeper. I bought my 09 430 Spider manual in 2014 and plan on keeping it forever. I had a 458 spider and while it was a great car it was just not involving enough. In a sense it was too easy to drive and I got bored. So I got the 430 and never looked back.
That was fun to watch and also I learned something. I didn't know that the "slippery road" setting on the wheel control also keeps the exhaust in quiet mode.
Obviously, I'm with Harry...a minority that truly appreciates the 430 chassis. Haven't felt this way about a car until I saw the Pista, can't wait to add one to complete the perfect-to-me 2-horse stable.
The CEL takes many seconds (feels like an eternity sometimes) to go away after engine is started in the F430 (also in my previous Maserati GT-S); i believe he started the engine and got going before the CEL light turned off. This is normal and happens to me as well. Harry doesn't mess around or fake any of his shots. He knows better than to insult our intelligence. He's A+
Yeh nice video. Had my 430 manual for a 4 years now and it's a keeper. I just can't imagine what I would replace it with. Harry is a bit outa practice, I can flip through the gears a bit quicker than that.
Take it you just watched his new Bentley video? Might just be waiting to be collected. Be interesting if he has bought it. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Great review. The 430 is such a nice chassis, and with power that is simply ''enough''. Really well balanced, don't have to go crazy fast to start enjoying the car.
Indeed ! It's showing as sold on the establishment he, er, borrowed it from. And the plate has been changed to what I imagine is one of Harry's cherished numbers. Just a guess mind, but it does look kind of "at home" where it's parked. We'll see if it's still there in the next video
