Would really appreciate some input on people’s experiences on cost of insurance on a new 812 in the UK and who the best brokers are for this type of car. Mine just arrived at the dealer and I will pick up at the end of next week after full ppf. Very exciting.

Looks great, congrats. I shopped around a bit and found all the mainstream providers quoted too high because they focus on mass market cars. Locktons is good because if you’re a member of Ferrari Owner club Uk then they insure you for their track days for no extra cost

However, in the end I went for Admiral which was a bit cheaper. As a reference I pay around £2k pa, based in London. I don’t own other cars and only use mine about 5k miles a year

Thanks and appreciate the input. Locktons does seem to come up a lot.

Thank you for your input. The numbers are really useful. I’m currently being quoted double that on 5k miles and in a secure garage in London and clean licence.

I use Classic line, £1.5k pa, but I am not in London and 3k miles cover which can be extended if necessary.

Chubb fleet policy via a broker (RK Harrison - Ben Stagg) - any car/driver policy, bit more expensive but convenient.

Admiral Multicar for the whole family, but i see you only have the one car to insure. Still worth a try.

Congratulations, enjoy in excellent health! Beautiful spec. The hand painted shields look amazing, does that option add any time to the car production? Also is that grigio silverstone?

It’s a historical colour Grigio Ferro, a little lighter than the usual Silverstone which shows off the lines. The shields didn’t delay the car but are quite pricey. On the big front wings of the 812 though they are really perfect.

Its beautiful. I couldn't decide between Pozzi Blu, Grigio Silverstone, Grigio Ferro, or CDF for my 812 GTS. I put the order in with the hand painted shields as long as they do not delay the car.

All great colours but obviously I love GF best. The hand painted shields are really worth doing. They’re quite rare and make the car especially if you take a historical colour. What are you doing on the interior?

I ended up with GF and a sabbia interior instead of cuoio, it was a tough decision.

Went for cuoio because it’s safer on long term wear and this one’s a keeper for me.
