    Hello all,

after trying to view the TDC marks (US Version) it occurred to me that rerouting some of the fuel/evap/heater/vacuum lines could really clean up the appearance of the engine and rather than reinvent the wheel, has anyone done this already?

If you have seen an E-Type engine you will quickly note that the coolant lines go straight back and are not seen and only the plug wires foul the clean lines.

I don't have much to show, I am trying to make it cleaner looking than it looks now.

it just takes time and imagination. Routing hoses and wires so they can't be seen, is possible, but it takes a bunch of time, and makes replacement a *****.

Look at some high dollar street rods and you will know what i mean.

Also think about wire and hoses crossing or touching which can cause wear and hose due to friction from engine vibrations... I had this happen to one of my lead coil wires as it was rubbing on a large dia hose.

That is exactly the sort of thing that I am interested in, maybe not to that extreme but a lot less of the "just run the hoses to where they need to go approach"

If no one has done it before then I'll see what I can figure out when I get in there.

It's a tight area with a lot going on - air injection, breather lines, vapor separator, oil cooler, ignition leads, electro-valves, crank sensors. There's only so much you can do and it's still gonna look like a rat's nest. Believe me, I've tried.
