I’ve been watching that car as well. It’s been out there for quite some time.
I kinda like the odd color combo. Maybe for the right price...

Just to clarify the whole passenger door was NOT painted even thought these pictures came out this way. The only part of the door that was painted was the lower bottom rear portion of the passenger door were there was a 1/2" crack. The day these photos were taken it was cloudy and they may have something to do with the way it looks.
If you see the car in person the top of the passenger door matches exactly the paint in the rear quarter and front panel as they are both still the original factory paint.
    Yes this is my car.

Imagine the conversation that took place with the interior guy...

"let's do the interior in Alcantara"
"You mean the seats and steering wheel or just seats?"
    "No all of it"
"Ok so seats dash and steering wheel, got it"
"no I mean all of it"
"What do you mean all of it"
"I don't want to see vinyl, plastic, leather anywhere so every surface, if you can do door handles and switches then do those too, I mean ALL of it in Alcantara, I want people's eyes to look and look but all they see is Alcantara everywhere. Let's use grey too, because that's classy"

"do you want us to do the sifter and ball in Alcantara too"
".... no.... that may come off as tacky, leave those as is, good catch as that would be too far"

I know the cf is not factory and is being used to cover up the sticky interior. However the seats are really intriguing. The leather looks to be factory but those white inserts can't possibly be... right?

It’s my understanding that starting in 95, Ferrari began to offer more options for customizing orders on 355s.
I agree with you that most of the CF isn’t OEM, I do think the seat color combo is likely original.

From what I recall...a lot of buyers didn't know about the level of customize-ability available to them in that era. Especially in the later model years of the 355.

It's most likely a bone stock interior besides the CF upgrades (which personally I don't mind at all).

I've seen some wild combinations in Europe that left that factory that way. I doubt some of the American dealers even knew it was possible to request them at the time.

It does sound reasonable given that is when they started doing more tailored options on customers cars, but it looks too new compared to the rest of the leather and it does not look like 24k worth of miles have worn on it. The seat inserts match the headliner as well so maybe they really did get it from the factory...

Beautiful car buyer got a great deal. Couldn’t sell it while it was in the auction that wouldn’t have been fair. It was definitely worth more but it is what it is. I will probably regret selling it as everyone says !

It sold at a low price because that car will require about $50k + to return it to oem.
