The car looks great, Gizz. Very interested to hear your window rattle story. I’ve got exactly the same problem on the drivers’ side. Unfortunately even if it is a simple job I’d fuchs it up so it’ll have to wait till the next service.
It’s true. I’m pretty useless at mechanical stuff. However my tyres are correctly pumped up and I have petrol in my car so it could be worse...
It really is pretty easy Steve. It's a broken braket on the regulator assy. I didn't take any pics of it when I did it, I'm hopeless like that, I tend to just hook in and before I konw it, it's done and I think, "Fark, I should have taken pics for the boys".
Actually, for the entire time I had mine there was a tinny rattle when the door shut. You couldn't hear it if it rattled when driving over the engine noise , but certainly getting in and out. Is that what it was likely to be?
Lol. I type faster than I think my friend. Unfortunately, with the speed of my brain, you only need to be able to type 30 wpm.
Looking at the design of the window regulator assy, I'd say so mate. There is only 1 spot weld holding the bracket to the reg assy.
Cheers, Gizz, but I wouldn't even try without step by step instructions and very good pics. I'd give it a go on an OHOS I didn't care about (like my old Beemer that I fiddled around with a bit), but not the 355.
Get a copy of the workshop manual, it will show you how to take the door panel off. Take pics as you go along, lay out everything on a table and take your time. If i can do it, anyone can [emoji6] Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The rattle is still there in that car, Moretti thinks it’s in his head. Silly signature here to annoy KIAI
I’m going to take the passenger side out and check/lube it. I’ll take step by step pics. I’m sure you could do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
