A former owner of my Mondial was kind enough to put together a nice workshop manual for the car that combined a couple of different manuals into one. I went to use it this past weekend and realized that it had accidentally been donated to Goodwill along with a bunch of other books a month or so ago. Argh! I went back to the Goodwill, but unfortunately wasn't able to find the manual. :( Oh well, lesson learned - double check your boxes before donating them.

So....I'm now looking for a new set of manuals. I did do a search for service manuals on the forum and there were a number of older threads suggesting a couple of different manuals that weren't 3.2 specific. Here's my question to Team Mondial - IF you were going to put together a set of workshop manuals for the 3.2 in 2020, what would you include? What have you found to be imperative to have for working on your own 3.2?

    Thanks!

Thanks Mike. Given the Mondial's reputation for challenging electrics, that makes sense.

Great! Thanks Steve! Fortunately, I didn't donate the OM. Still have that one. ;)

Thanks Mike. I'll keep an eye out.

Thanks Temple. Glad to hear that you got your car! Would love to hear details.

Any other suggestions from the team? Would a QV or t manual be useful?

    Thanks,

    2cam

Is this for a US version 3.2 Mondial or a euro version? If US, can you share it?

It does not say but i got in the uk about 30 years ago. Has pt no 95990845 on the back. Shows LH drive car so not UK specific. What do you have electrically on us car not on euro model and will see if it shows

The biggest difference would be in the injection schematic (but there would be small differences in the external lights and the grounding at the ignition ECU to select the various ignition maps). The scan I have of the euro Mondial 3.2 wiring diagram is labeled "Ferrari MANUAL #488/87" on the title page, but the person who scanned it did not include the front and back covers. It has:

Fig 2 Injection (CH88 excluded) -- shows the K-Jet without Lambda system so has WUR, safety switch on airflow meter, no injection ECU, no O2 sensor.

Fig 4 Injection for CH88 -- shows the KE3-Jet with Lambda system so has no WUR and no safety switch, but has EHA, KE3-Jet with Lambda ECU, tachometric relay, and O2 sensor.

The injection system for a US version Mondial 3.2 would be K-Jet with Lambda so would have WUR, frequency valve (aka metering valve), safety switch on airflow meter, K-Jet with Lambda ECU, and O2 sensor.

Steve, I think I have the electric wiring schematic for a US (‘86-87) US Mondial 3.2.

so the electrical schematics/wiring diagrams for MY 86-87 3.2 (US) and MY 88 3.2 (US). Question for the Mondi family: didn’t the 3.2 switch mid-year ‘88 from no ABS as being standard (offered as an option) to it being ABS being standard?

I think that's correct, and the 1988 US wiring diagram will have an ABS schematic that isn't present in the 1986-87 US wiring diagram (although that can also result in small changes occurring in the other schematics, too).

@Steve Magnusson i’ll be sending all the 3.2 material I have to 2cam as he has a scanner which I don’t (have). Thankfully we both have and share a common love for Mondi 3.2 COUPES (and each of us own one as well)
