    Yep pretty bloody amazing.....they appear to have looked at the bigger picture better than most.

    One main difference though,all of the states I notated didn't have a city as big as Melbourne,rather more multiple of 100's of thousands of population,whether that is a difference IDK.

    Our politicians heeded the "science", as dictated to them by leftist CMO's.

    Destroy people's livelihoods to "flatten the curve". When there was no hospital overload, they changed the reasons for the lockdown. Have you read 1984?

    Also, I keep dragons away by sprinkling water on my doorstep. Works a treat, too: I recommend it.

    The reason we don't have overload is Morrison reacted, along with the states and the populace to a REAL threat and we avoided the consequences that hit the Italians and many other countries

    The reason for lockdown has never changed, it was to avoid the spread of the virus

    I have a bit of experience with providing advice to government and it is rare to see all levels and all sides of government accepting that advice

    In some countries the advisers and staffers get fired for providing advice that contradicts the desired narrative - but thankfully our system of government still accepts a difference of opinion

    I recall reading 1984 as one of my HSC textbooks. In hindsight it must have had some effect on me as I became a government employee in January 1984

    How quickly people forget.

    The lockdown was absolutely to "flatten the curve" of hospital admissions. Go back and read the press releases from March.

    The "REAL" threat would have been easily contained by following 2006 WHO guidelines, which did not include a lockdown.
