Looks like an RX8 but it has a rear scoop, so no that, even though the wheels look like RX8 wheels.

Is there much work involved in removing the sideskirt. I wouldn't mind fixing a paint chip in mine. It's been there since I bought it and I don't like it one bit

 

Depends or your arms. Basically the door sill has to be removed. Then there are 4 screws under it that hold the rocker in place and another 4 screws under the car. A single screw at the front. Finally, there are two studs that go through the quarter panel. To get to the the rear most one you only need to remove the fender liner to get the nut off. But the second one is more forward. If, like me, you have skinny forearms you can reach through the scoop opening and feel around for the rubber plug and remove it, and then working blind, remove the nut. But you have to be careful not to drop the nut or washer because the body is double walled there and if you drop the nut or a socket it's impossible to retrieve. If you can't get your arm in there, then you have to remove the oil cooler and radiator (or equivalent on the driver's side) to get to the nut.

But a small paint chip I'd probably do on the car.

Thanks guys. I keep saying, painting isn't hard. Especially with today's base/clear process. It the prep work that takes the effort. But the clean up is the worst part. And I did both jobs with a $20, siphon feed spray gun. But if you are going to do something bigger you need a down draft booth.
