Metal AC knobs replacement

These metal knobs feel so solid! What do you guys think? Should I paint it black? I am really liking the raw aluminium look and the feel.

I like them in aluminum. I wouldn't paint them.
Where did you get them? They look right at home on the dash. Nice job.

 

Very nice. I’d anodize them black since they are aluminum. The contrast I think looks better in black and the durability of the aluminum controls and how they upscale the car is awesome.

The aluminium feels really nice to the touch. The texture, the weight and the coolness made the whole dash look premium. I am just worry the paint will cover up the raw texture. I can still give it a try. They said the paint can be easily removed with paint thinner if I don’t like it.

 

well maybe you try out the color using paint and if you like it then, have them anodized that color so the finish and texture is maintained.

 

I just leave it and keep the texture looks great

 

You can tell folks where you got the knobs unless you have an interest in the company.

 

Are they machined aluminum or cast resin with aluminum filler? From the looks of the shape, they would be very difficult to machine. If cast, then they can't be anodized.

It is made with metal 3D printing I think. He said the shape is impossible to CNC.
