    Hi John , my observation is not direct towards anyone on this Australian forum , but the MG classic car brigade in the UK, yes they do fit my description to a tee .

    One look at them and you would order another bourbon and coke or similar .

    even worse then the Royal forum ! if that is possible .

    Simon, could not agree more the Rolls Royce club in the UK is full of old farts in 5,000 pound rusted out OHOS acting like the Royals .

    My grandfather sold his K3 to Rod Harley up in Brissy in the late 80s...My late father has a K type with original K3 body and wheels off chassis 3041 I think ( would have to check the file) .....It’s lying on the floor in a million pieces but all the important things are there....I’m not sure if I want to restore it now after reading your speel, as I would have to interact with the Wankers in the UK for bits and pieces....

    Yeah never met him...All I know was he bought our K3 and still had it when he passed away...Not sure if it’s still in QLD...

    The k3s only went to #3031.

    Be worth doing as a genuine K3 pre virus is a million dollar car .K1 or K2 in the k3 style with a MG car club (triple M club) approval is 500k and ones like mine ,depending on specs and condition float upwards of 250 to 350k.

    A complete K1/K2 with history close to 100k in pounds now .As a runner ,

    I'm glad I owned it and used it but never again, just not suitable with todays roads and traffic.

    Car clubs are interesting and what there founders,committee's and members want out of the club .

    Some are sporting clubs,others social ,shows and mixtures.

    I've been a member of a number of clubs some great others WOFTAM , I have been on various committee's .Some join a committee and its all about clubs funds and treating said funds as if there own others join committee's to further there own gains within the car movement .....the word networking comes to mind .

    I'll leave it to another time to reflect on these clubs!

    At the moment I'm the secretary come drive coordinator of a small club of some 90 members , which some 5 years had 5 members ,2 years ago around 50.Its a good feeling to be working with others on a committee who have a common gold and who are thanked by club members for there work in striving for a better club.

    And yes we have around 20 members who now or in the past have owned Ferrari motorcars , many will be known to the readers on this forum. Its enjoyable watching them enjoy another marque other then the Ferrari marque.

    I’m on the committee here in QLD and I’m becoming very disheartened with the direction of the club. I managed to change the course of the club for a brief period, with the help of a couple of others, but it’s reverting back to the cafe and latte set. FFS they’re supposed to be CAR clubs. Not ‘look at my Pista and order me another coffee’ club.

    Must admit I enjoy this Whomo club...Especially the drives...I’m in another club which I don’t attend as I need the historic plates for some of my other older HOS including prewar MGs...It’s just a shame we can’t all club together on here to make a Proper club...Or maybe not as some people on here might start clubbing too much...And one might start clubbing members...:)

    Sadly many clubs go through different fazes , agree its about the drives , for our committee we do have a coffee & cake mornings which the club sponsors with a $5 donation to the Blue ribbon foundation or The MND fund.... we go to members workshops ,garages and enjoy the cars .

    I feel very grateful that I am involved with such great committee and club members who enjoy exercising there cars ,later in the year we have our 'Spring rally " 1,500 km 4 day event ,such a small club over 25 cars already entered.
