Would be impressed if the SF90 is quicker than the 765LT around a circuit given there is a 700+ pound weight difference (which is kind of crazy when you think about it).

My English is too poor for big talk about it, but for me it’s same platform, with some changes. 458 is NA, 488 is turbocharged. It has Much more power and torque. new engine architecture, new vents on sides, new radiators and cooling system in front, new active aero in rear, new brakes, etc, but basically it’s the same car. And you can see it by your eyes. Silhouette, proportions, size. At sf90 they are the same. Only rear part is higher, exactly because of some electric components. LB will be real new, and we will see it, because it will be different.
I bet LB will be slightly faster than a Pista but no match for the 720 or 765. It will be too heavy to compete. Time will tell.
Why not, it might be awesome. Personally I favor what the Pista and 765LT have to offer but my mind can be changed.
timing works for me. We just started to build a new house. My wife allows me to indulge my stupidity. Will have a 6 car garage for me. Should be 2.5 years out and I will need to add something special in there once it’s done. Might as well be this....
The Mc20's V6 is derived from the Giulia Quadrifoglio engine (which is loosely based on the Ferrari TT V8 and manufactured in FCA facilities) The LB will have a brand new V6 which shares nothing with the other existing engines. The differnce from the 720s to the 765lt in acceleration is about the same as 488gtb to Pista = big difference Sf90 stradale 0-100 2,5sec / 0-200 6,7 sec / 100-200kmh 4.2 sec 765lt 0-100kmh 2,8sec / 0-200 7,2 sec / 100-200kmh 4,4sec 0-300kmh 17,5 sec this are official figures, i do believe that in real world the 765lt is faster above 100kmh till high speed. At 220kmh the elec motor of the sf90 stradale disconnect (max speed) (real world weight around 1750-1800kg) so only the 780hp cumbustion engine remines to pull this heavy car up to the vmax And an other factore is that max acceleration is only available with fully charged batteries 0-220kmh, (afterwards pure combustion engine power)
At this point I would be more worried about McLaren’s survival, they might not exist soon and this hypothetical comparison will be moot. I hope they survive, I’d love to see their hybrid V6 concept/strategy vs Ferrari’s. The next Sports Series is suppose to debut their V6 Hybrid architecture and LB will debut Ferrari’s. Though with covid, both timelines might be affected. Is anyone aware of Ferrari’s plan to debut LB, time or place? Online reveal at Maranello or at autoshows (if they come back)?

It would seem, if I’m reading the reviews correctly, that while the front electric motors do cut off at that speed, the rear electric motor then takes over so the full 986 horsepower remains driving only the rear wheels. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Let’s also remember that the electric motor in the SF90 will last around 10/20 minutes, so if you are out for a nice long route, the majority of the time you’ll have a heavy sports car. My view is: - the first 10/20 minutes SF90 is faster - after that for the rest of the day, 765LT faster
That is incorrect. The 2 elec motors on the front axel disconnect a 220kph. The third motor remains as it is integrated in the driving shaft, but output is limited, and depending massivly of battery status. Thus above 220kph you are almost down to 780 ps coming from the combustion engine, with little bit elec power, coming from the third motor integrated in the driving shaft.

This is correct - the feedback is falsified to give a sense of security with all the nannies trying to control all the weight just to keep it on the road along with the AWD systems. And while sf90 may not feel heavy to drive the laws of physics will take over and the lighter car will prevail. Also it may not last the 10 minutes anyway. Let's all face it, electronics and batteries has never exactly been Ferrari's strong suit so far. So yes the odds on favorite would be the 765 for the win and SF90 a long shot.
