I'm redoing the front fuel line hoses on my 1967 330 GTC (9303) and decided to go all in and replace the whole lot since I don't really know how old the back sections are and I have been using ethanol spiked gas. I know the two yellow wired lines from the tank to the electric pump, and the electric pump to the mechanical pump are M10, but I have heard conflicting opinions as to the proper size of the yellow wired lines from the Mechanical pump to the glass fuel filter and the filter to the fuel rail for the carbs. Some say M6, some say M8. I'm inclined to go with the larger (M8) unless I hear strongly otherwise. I have heard the M6 is for smaller, 4 cylinder cars like Alfas etc... but Ferrari V-12's use M8.

    What is the experience here?

M6 flex hoses would be used for pressure gauges. I would expect to see an M8 for your application.

    They were M8 on my 250GTE, so I cannot image M6 on a 330.

M10 prior to fuel pumps, "pulling" fuel through.

M8 after pumps, "pushing" fuel through.

    ……as I recall, but I'm getting old

    It just so happens that I too am replacing all the original hoses on my late 330 GTC, here is the inventory;
Gas tanks to electric pump, 10mm
Electric pump to chassis tube, 10mm
Fire wall chassis tube to rear of fuel log, 8mm
Glass filter to front of fuel log, 8mm
Glass filter to mech. pump, 8mm
Lower front chassis pipe to mech. pump, 10mm

    I believe I bought 41 inches of 10mm and 45" of 8mm

Be sure to get new ferrels for the ends as the old ones do not fit the new hoses.

The issue we face with the "off the shelf" replacement hose is that our modern fuels chemically erode the hose from the inside out. Solutions to this are available however.

So the fittings on the end of the hoses are reusable? Where to get new ferrules?

Your hose supplier might or should have them.

The hose from the fuel filter to the carbs Is leaking at the fuel filter. Yellow wrapped hose, #6 on Eurospares fuel page, p/n 19386.

What’s the best way to fix this?

I’d like to keep the original fittings. I found Newcoproducts has the 8 mm yellow hose. How hard is it to change out the hose? I’m pretty accomplished at DIY. (Eurospares has a new hose for about $200.)

But the new hoses are slightly thicker than the old one’s and therefor the old ferules will not fit. You can use the screw fittings you have but have to use new ferules. Would meke sense to have them cad plated to have them looking accordingly.

From my knowledge the old thinner hoses are not available any more. The new look the same but are sligthy thicker. They are available from Newco in the US, Autorpoca in Italy or OKP in Germany as well as many others. Prices will make you wince...

Romano (& Jim), the old/original manufactured hose is not compatible with todays gasolines with modern formulation, at least ones available in the U.S.
The newly reproduced hose is made of materials that can handle chemical composition of modern pump gasolines, but its O.D. is slightly larger and requires the (larger dia.) new ferrules.
