I know there are some good companies that make license plate holders for the 488 but it will take weeks to arrive with the mail here.

If I use zip ties to tie on the license plate holder will this damage the paint? Do I have any other option?

I have had my front plate zip-tied to the front of my TDF for two years with no visible issues I can see. I backed the plate with self adhesive felt pads though to protect the grill mesh. Also used very small zip ties.

What does one zip tie the plate to? I don't see a clear place to do that on my 488. Thanks.

The two red columns. I'm not sure how anyone could use double sided tape, there is nowhere to stick it to. Plus I cannot do the paper print out plates here unfortunately.

I plan to upgrade to carbinio but I need a temporary solution. It will be held in customs and require paperwork and might get stolen (eastern europe) so I hate ever ordering anything from outside the country

First does the front bumper have PPF ? If so either double sided tape or foam pads and zip tie.

What about trying to use some combination of Velcro straps with zip ties?

I often use Velcro straps in the garage for holding stuff. My welding tank is secured to the wall using a large mil spec velcro strap, for example. You might be able to fashion something where the plate connects to the straps and then the straps secure to something on the car and/or you can thread them through something up front and then secure them tight.

    Just a thought.
