I wonder if Binotto even has the balls to apologize to Charles after the race. Doesn't really matter that much when the car is totally useless, just having horror thoughts when they do have a good car, about how they are going to ruin his races.
The gap beween Ferrari and Mercedes is immense, it's incredible. It maybe even bigger than in the first year of the hybrid era. The 2 biggest teams in F1, it's just incomprehensible.
I doubt it. We'll get the usual " We're trying to understand the car, so we decided to put both drivers on different tire strats....blah blah... "
Lewis would’ve passed Max if he was in the same situation that Bottas was in. That’s the difference between a race driver and a qualifying driver. But Max and his crew are the stars of the day. The RB team earned their keep. Ferrari... oh how the righteous have fallen.
That was pathetic. On the start, Vettel lets Max by to cut off Charles. Then they screwed up Charles's strategy -- Softs for *way* too long, waiting for rain that never happened. (The Ferrari has been terrible on softs, even last season.) Then hards for way too long. Both Ferraris lapped by the Mercs. Gah. Leclerc out in a car that couldn't even chase down a Haas. It's sad when Haas has a faster car than Ferrari. Charles drove a heck of a defense, though, even in that dog turd of a car. Maybe they should just bring a taxicab to the next race.
Passing Max is a tall order for Bottas. He got one over on Max’s injured RBR last week, not so this week.

Honest assessment from Bottas here. --Mercedes Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas has explained that his bad start to the Hungarian Grand Prix was caused by being distracted by a light on his steering wheel. Bottas initially edged forward slightly from his second-placed grid slot at the start before bogging down, leading rival Sebastian Vettel to tell his Ferrari team that the Finn had jumped the lights. However, Bottas did not receive a penalty as he did not trigger the FIA detection system. After dropping to an initial sixth place, he recovered to pressurise Red Bull driver Max Verstappen for second place. Bottas pitted for a fresh set of tyres with 20 laps to go in an attempt to find him extra pace to pass Verstappen. However, Bottas just failed to oust the Dutchman, crossing the line 0.75 seconds behind him as lapped traffic slowed Bottas's charge. "It was a pretty bad race for me to be honest," admitted Bottas, who finished nearly 10 seconds behind his victorious team-mate Lewis Hamilton. "Starting second obviously, you aim to win the race - I lost it at the start.-- https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/150715/bottas-distracted-by-dashboard-light-at-the-start
