correction to the earlier Daytona Spider post; the fellow that owned two, owned these two red cars. He was a dealer. They were displayed on the FCA lawn behind the Lodge. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My first ride in a Ferrari was in a red Lusso like this one, owned by a doctor that lived down the street. Always liked those cars ever since. The doctor used it as a daily driver in the summers. He showed me a head gasket in his garage, I couldn't believe how small the pistons were. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just came across this article on that gentleman. I was very impressed with his driving skill. https://www.tradeuniquecars.com.au/features/2001/kerry-manolas-ferrari-812-superfast-1965-275-gtb-4-coupe
so long ago, I don't recall his name. My fiancé was in love with one of the Daytona Spiders, the one with the tan interior. IIRC the other one had all black seats? Anyway, as was typical of every owner we spoke to at that meet, the gentleman owner was very friendly, and a fount of information about the cars. We had a great time on that trip, except my car spent most of it in the shop.
thanks. I was suspicious of that car but did not have enough info to know what it was. For one thing it was on the edge of the paddock away from the other historic cars, not in a prime spot.
thank you. I meant to add to the original post that this little Barchetta was quite a surprise to me - so tiny but also so like a little jewel in its details. Just a fabulous car
