Glad I’m a one watch guy... if that were only the case for cars... Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What did I miss??? Did you put a ceramic bezel on a white gold? Or replaced the rubber strap with a new band? Either way, it’s perfect Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks for the kind words, I think I posted earlier but hunted down an OEM 116519 WG Oysterflex Daytona silver sunburst dial and had my watchmaker fit it to my black dial DaytonaC as my homage to the 6263
1971 King Seiko HiBeat 10 beats per second, which is pretty remarkable for the era. I wasn't wearing this watch, so I changed out the band for something pleasing, moving the tang as well. Now I think this will be in semi-frequent rotation. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I wanted one for a long long time, it also took a while to come in, but I’m not sure I’ll ever take it off now! Enjoy my brief contribution to the thread! Erik Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sweet piece Erik, but as the guy who first gave you a ride in a Ferrari almost 20 years ago, isn't about time to change your user name??? "Teenferrarifan", really!!! Lol. Wear it well!!
Hahaha, thanks for the kind words when I originally "ordered" it the world and myself were in a different place, but I couldn't help myself when it finally came in so I still pulled the trigger... Time sure does fly, I'll never forget that day and your kindness, it seems like just yesterday (March 2003). It might not have seemed like much to you, but that day taking a kid for a ride (checking with my parents of course) helped me realize that sometimes its the small gestures that can leave a lasting impact on people. I want you to know that my Dad and I have paid it forward countless times taking people out in the cars, since we have ended up with some Ferrari's and Corvette's ourselves. (Your yellow 550 was one reason why I got a yellow Z06!) I've thought about changing the name, but for nostalgic reasons it reminds me of the old days of F-chat, the mid-atlantic group, and even my own naiveté. Erik
