    Ok guys I’m going to put the car through the shop and perform the belt service etc and get it ready to go . We we be changing the asking price to reflect the work performed so now is your last chance to get it at the car at this price .

    $ 50,000 decrease due to a timing belt service needed ? Otherwise , yes an incredible car !! You have to love what I call a real proper Ferrari, beautiful analog interior, with a gated 5 speed gearbox . Im grateful for those timeless designs by Pinan Farina , they and Ferrari of that / those eras can never be replaced.

    We listed the car for $155k initially even though I told the owner the asking price was high. As the months past and the owners realization allowed us to drop the price we finally came down the the realistic $105k price, I have had a number of potential buyers but all didn't buy because it needed to go straight into the shop for a belt service .

    I suspect this would have been a quick sale if the seller had listened to you about the listing price and having the belts sorted at the outset. There is that saying about leading the horse to water. Sounds like you gave solid advice, but the client was unwilling to drink.

    For sellers who won't listen, I figure it's either because they have unreasonable expectations, or they need a quick sale and erroneously believe their approach is the way to get it.

    Hopefully now that the seller is listening to your wise counsel, you can get this car sold for him.

    While you're doing the major, maybe repaint the rockers and front spoiler back to black satin to be right and proper.
