He was talking about playstation...which almost certainly meant he was using one of the codemasters' games. A terrible platform which doesn't take aerodynamics in consideration, codemasters use a weird ''physics'' where the tyres get more and more grip, using a weird scaling. Very weird feel. I find his playstation use quite funny because (much) better simulations on the computer are available.

As for the corona off-season racing...I think F1 mandated any F1 drivers driving F1 and streaming MUST use the codemasters F1 game instead of the vastly superior alternatives...because codemasters is the only one that has F1 license. Codemasters definitely feels alien and not natural at all.

My point was more that Lance struggled to get round a certain corner in real life and also on his playstation, which I found quite funny.

Like Jenson said ,you don't top the table in P2 without any talent, this is true Stroll does have talent they don't just dish out super licences to the highest bidder.

He seems a bit inconsistent though, can put in some fast laps then somehow fades away ,maybe tyres or some other issues dunno. He is known to generally be a pretty good starter in the initial laps, everyone points at his race craft which does seem lacking in some respects ,some of the time.

Whatever ,time is on his side, racing in paps team,so there are no excuses now.Let's see if he can raise his game to a new level .

Given how much time he spent on the Williams simulator before even joining F1 and considering he now owns a team I’m pretty sure he spends all the time he doesn’t have to dedicate to sponsors and contractual obligations on the simulator. Probably keeps the team’s one in his flat. Gives him an edge on single laps and starts maybe but when it comes to real racing not even Montoya can teach him that.

as discussed before...Stroll can drive a car on a single lap, occasionally pretty good..but not exceptional. But his actual racing? It's uninspiring.

His best attribute is starts. He does those well.

not just simulator...he drove the real thing (2014 car) so much he had over 2 seasons' worth under his belt by the time he actually started in F1.

So lets compare - Hint - 2nd year in F1 36 points in the 'slower' Mclaren = Norris. Is there anyone getting more out of a slow car on the planet. Ferrari took the WRONG Mclaren driver LOL!!

    Everything Stroll isnt = Norris
Vettel is hardly a contemporary of Stroll
Went backwards today and yesterday = Team stating we expected MORE from Lance LOL.

Stroll = inconsistent and the least aggressive driver on the grid besides Latifi. They should get a room LOL.

Stroll had the chance this weekend to 'step up' his game, lead the team in a way(4th year now in F1), and produce a good result. Utterly FAILED in all aspects LOL. Shown black and white flag as well??

Please stop making this such a 'stroll' LOL :) My god man Perez didnt race today and is still AHEAD of Stroll LOL :)

Yes Stroll could improve to the point where we give him more respect, but Im not about to really consider this possible, ala Button. Its not looking like he has that capability. He could still surprise some of us, but where is the hint of that showing at all.

Speaking of respect - re-visit how Ricci, an actual aggressive, winning and respected driver feels about Lance after Stroll put them both off the track in Spielberg LOL. Its not complimentary at all. Ricci spoke as if he was not surprised at all how Stroll attempted that pass.

Ocon never gave up today, and passed Stroll. He pressured him early in the SLOWER Renault. The only thing Lance pressured today was his seat with his bodyweight LOL :) Stroll keeps F1 fun at least. Between Pirelli and Stroll today......not bored :)

Hard to see how that did much to help him overall. Others had no such experience and already surpass him. He has talent to keep it on the track and qualify etc. Serious impact, a bit of aggression to get a bit more out of the car like others, braking/ racing and delivering Im not seeing yet.

By this point he really should've been able to do those things. Look at his hilarious interpretation of overtaking Ricciardo in Austria...he's a joke.

Nice try and all that, clearly he can drive, but he's not ever going to do anything in F1 besides just driving. Hey, if his dad wants to keep throwing money at it like no tomorrow, be my guest...not my money etc. LMP1/2 would suit him far more and just buy a V10 F1 car to get his single seater thrills. He's got a private race track to enjoy it on.

This was a really poor weekend for Stroll, when it could have been everything the pace of the Racing Point deserved given a free podium place was provided by Mercedes. Was beaten by Leclerc and Norris in qualifying when he should have been bothering Verstappen and then faded to ninth in the race, beaten by four slower cars. https://www.autosport.com/f1/driver-ratings/2020/great-britain

This is like the 2nd time this happens to Stroll.

Last time he was pressing the "mic" button instead of the energy button....team radio was telling him "umm, your pressing the mic button instead of the energy button."

I doubt it. The buttons are pretty small and given the vibrations I doubt you can even read the tiny letters while going 200 mph.

LOL - that’s funny! Love the restrained frustration of his engineer. Trying not to lose his cool... and his job (don’t want to make the boss’s son look bad).

Probably having trouble finding the button because of his constant wiggling of the steering wheel even on the straights.
