I agree with you bro, it's hard to top that particular performance. What i'm saying is that its no need to discredit Max, Lauda, Clark, or whoever if they the hadn't won the exact same way he did. Heck i think Hamilton has more wet poles and wins than Senna, or Schumacher. I may be wrong. I'm a Hamilton fan, and i can't say if he is the better than Senna. All i'm saying is that i can only go by what former team mates of Senna, Schumi and other drivers say. And they say Ham is one of the best F1 drivers ever. That i believe.

I happen to also disagree with @Natkingcolebasket69 but all good - I respect his thoughts as well. No right or wrong with who you consider GOATs. That said - keep fighting, but make sure to also keep it away from personal attacks.

I would hope @Natkingcolebasket69 comments are similar to say you support your (country) team in the Olympics.

 

Of course he is one of the best...but imo not the best and just like highlighted by Vettel , imo, his performance are greatly overshadowed by the greatness of his car.

Is Hamilton a great driver, yes told u many times I agree... but it’s much easier to win when u play for Real Madrid than say PSG

Imo, a great driver is never overshadowed, they always stand out. does'nt matter what car he drives. I think Schumi/Senna would still have been great if they started off with top teams. This is where we differ, cool.

 

I think you enjoy, knowingly or not, manipulating information. I never told u Berger or the ones you quoted were not entitled to their opinions, i simply countered you with other videos with F1 world champions saying Senna is their best driver of all time. I also told u that the point is futile since you cant compare eras.
Vettel is seemingly proving that his 4 titles in a row were as much as anything due to his car these days .
Again can you confirm who was the last guy winning the title on a car that didnt win the championship ? I am seeing Schumacher in 94. Not even Senna did this.
And lastly I never told you Senna and Schumacher would not have been great starting from a top team, rather than teir legend is much greater, specifically for senna, when you start at the bottom and still shine and win. That gives them a mystique about them.
You dont mistakenly become great, Hamilton certainly deserve its wins and place but , the same way Murray , righfully so, said that Senna and Schumacher were not clean racers that's that very same passion and will to win at all costs that will imo always separate them imo.

Prost in 1986.
Both won with an inferior car.
1997-1998-1999 schumi was very close to do it again.
Last one close to achieve that was Alonso in 2012 ( stunning driving year for him !)

 

I forgot Prost won with a non world champion car in 86. Good old Alain, underated nowadays. We forget he won a WC at 40. He wasnt the flashiest driver but he was always doing what needed to be done to win

 

Verstappen is a very complete driver right now.
Driving this W11 he would be unstoppable this year.
And Charles not far off..

 

Great post, unfortunately for many notable F1 drivers, mystique or starting with a lower team is not enough to separate them from Hamilton. Some see a greater mystique in things no other driver has done, that's where Hamilton shines.

 

When Vettel was in a better car everyone moaned that he was only winning because his car...the same people that were moaning about his car are now waving the ''LOuIsE Da GrEaTiSt'' flag all day long...and pointing out his car has a second a lap over the nearest rival doesn't count. Lol.

For me Schumacher proved time and time again how much better he was than anyone else, whether he was in inferior or superior cars didn't matter...Hamilton is good but take away his good car and suddenly he looks just good, not great. Too often beaten by guys he shouldn't be beaten by if he was the GOAT people say he is.

 

Funny you say that, I've lost count the amount of times you told me that the only reason I like Max is because he's from the same country I'm from. Pot kettle?

 

Indeed very painful when he will surpass Michael in a near future..

 

The real painful bit is dealing with those waving the elton flag, claim he's the GOAT...without having seen a single race of Schumacher (let alone someone else) in his prime.

That’s my personal belief: he is good , certainly deserving but , again imo, we are talking about a car that is in the midst of driving for the most dominant team ever so hard to assess his true value.
