I would say Kubica as well. A tragic story but I can't believe that he is still retained as a reserve driver.

Going a little off topic here, which may not be such a bad thing and not worth a separate thread, but except for the crap car Kubica's main gripe was that Williams could not afford an adapted steering wheel for him.

My question is why he (assuming he's worth quite a lot) or his millionaire sponsors couldn't stump up the funds and let him shine if it was that important...or was it a case of pride/promises/negotiations and cutting your nose to spite your face. Genuine question.

    Best,
    Sammy

This deleted posts thing I don’t like if I might say so. At least we would know better where the boundaries are and have a chance to explain if a mod makes a mistake, which could happen. My 2 cents

Isn't that what I was saying? I said I have an issue with his idiotic statements, not with him avoiding tax.

We often do leave posts up as exemplars, but certain types of posts are "attractive nuisances". Leaving them up only invites further comment by another user, getting someone else into trouble.

Another post deleted just above. srephwed attempted to complain about a deleted post in P&R he thought was OK and attributed the deletion to a mod being biased. Why he felt an F1 forum thread was the appropriate place to discuss a P&R forum action is unclear. However, that post was in fact deleted due to it not being PG-13, not because of its political content. But his post described the content, which is in effect posting P&R outside P&R. An example of how even discussing what is or is not P&R is an "attractive nuisance".

Again, we don't care what your political inclinations are, you're welcome to post them in the P&R forum, but not here. If you're not subscribed, you must avoid P&R entirely. Let's move on, before more posts get deleted.

I've noticed a lot of hatred of Hamilton. Barring his politics, why the hatred? I'm not being facetious either - a good faith query to you @furoni

Now I may be presumptuous, you might not even hate him and this is all playful banter - if so - apologies - carry on.

    Hiya @Texas Forever

We're purposely keeping any P&R (Social-Economic) commentary on everyone's favorite driver out of the F1 forum. This is the first post I saw of yours here, so just a warning - that said - do feel free to discuss as much as you like about Hamilton's politics in the politics forum, in fact, we encourage it!

    Best to you.

Do you not see the irony?

Critiquing Hamilton's behavior of espousing views and giving comments tangental to engines, chicanes, and soft tires -

by offering views and comments tangental to engines, chicanes, and soft tires.

Because when you have a world class athlete who poses as a lecturer and people don't perceive him sincerely then the rejection is much more violent.

So the main point of contention is he is a hypocrite vis a vis his political views. I understand and respect that. (truly)

That said, do keep the conversation to fuel loads, tire choices, pit stops, heck even radio messages, here in the F1 Forum.

However, like Hamilton, if you too cannot stop talking about politics, we not only welcome it but encourage you to do so - in the politics forum.

    Best to you.

    it was ironic.
i know for a fact that this photo was taken at silverstone.
Having fans when you win your national GP is not unusual.
Not a proof of universal popularity anyway.

    Which makes no sense:
You want to encourage political talk only over in the political section but then you don''t let everyone in there !?!

Paul was a bit too congenial. We don't encourage political talk, we simply tolerate it in the specific contained area. It takes a lot of extra effort to moderate political discussions and it's difficult and time consuming. If you don't want to subscribe, that's fine with us too.
