LOL on the “thugs” comment. Obviously poor translation but I hope they were not referring to the engineers, ha-ha. Speaking of GTO, found this recently—don’t remember from where; probably here, ha-ha—and obviously a final design rendering by Nicosia. The rendering even captures what I don’t like about the GTO: the way the top of the rear fenders transition to horizontal, creating some particularly disjointed reflections that are also interrupted by the quarter scoop cut-out. Yes good start but a couple of more; Brenda Vernor who was Enzo's long time personal assistant. The chauffeur is Dino Tagliazucchi who started driving for Enzo in 1969 and stayed all through the 1970's and 1980's until the very end. Dino went everywhere with Enzo for all those years and sometimes drove but not always. Enzo never went anywhere alone in that time! As far as a tribunal against those who commit crimes in car design-- that already exists--it's called the used car market. Occasionally a very flawed collector car will go for big bucks like the DeTomaso Mangusta does, but a lot of times cars that were launched with much fanfare fall to 10% of their list price because they had design flaws like the Allante and TC by Maserati. I think the triumph of the Bizzarrini coupe and Mangusta coupe in riding to $400k and above shows where styling can overcome minor design flaws. Knocking the design of cars like that is like looking at Marilyn Monroe and asking "But can she cook?"

Yes I do too. I’ve been out of commission this week. Had a heart attack. I was hoping some others would be able to start some conversation about design. I really miss all the great design related posts. On Facebook, there is so much cool info about automotive design, both past and present. There is so much happening. I'm so sorry to hear that you went through that. I hope you'll be fully recovered and at 110+% soon. I thought something was amiss when the notices of postings to this thread stopped--I just thought you'd taken a little vacation. Take care of yourself and get well soon.
