    So . . .

I owned a 16M and sold it. Big mistake. Been wanting another since the day I let my first go. I've been on a journey to get a replacement that I thought had ended last month. I found and bought a beautiful low mileage car at Ferrari of Houston. It looked like this on Monday when it was loaded on the transport.

On Thursday I was informed it looked like this!

Now I'm dealing with the transport company and their insurance company. Fingers crossed.

. . . and back in the hunt. Please let me know if you know of anyone looking to sell a nice 16M to a good home. Thanks for all the help.

    that's sad...couldn't he sacrifice a virgin instead of wrecking a 16M?

That’s so sad to see.... transport truck crashed?
This happened to my buddy who bought a yellow Scud and same thing - truck flipped and ruined his car...wonder if it was on the same truck.
Sorry to hear... I am sure you will find another. I also miss mine.

That’s devastating. I think we’d all like to know who the transporter is and how it turns out, when appropriate.

    Good luck.

Devastating seems like the right word. I'm holding off using names right now but will definitely report full details when I can. Must admit, however, the Ferrari dealerships initial response was not very good. Their official position is "not our problem" you bought the car. They recommended and fully arranged shipping. I paid for it (no pun) and now I'm on my own with the transporter. What's really disappointing is, after glowing recommendations, they tell me this isn't the first instance! But they would still recommend the transporter.

I don't have any info on what happened. Obviously it was a huge crash because all the cars a allegedly damaged.

Thanks for the good thoughts. I hope this works out.

I was too late to buy yours. When I found your post it was already gone. Bummer.

Sorry to hear that. Was your car the one with around 6000 miles? FoH had 2 for sale at the same time with exactly the same color and stripe.

Was “transportation“ on the bill of sale? Did you pay them and they paid the transportation co? If so, dealer is on the hook.

Were you aware it was multi car open transport on a rig like that?

    My condolences

Thanks to everyone who has reached out. Your support is greatly appreciated.

I will post an update as soon as I have a resolution. Hopefully soon. I'm hopeful everyone is going to "do the right thing" here. I've had contact with the transport company. The CEO is directly involved and he tells me that they have a high level person from his insurance company involved.

    I will post VIN.

    More later.

It is likely you found one, but if by chance you are still looking... Any interest in a mint Giallo Modena with 3,000 miles?
Has the optional $9k Italia flag stripe up the center.
