I get oil pressure drops when in idle to the point of indicator light. Oil level is adequate. This happened for a brief episode 2 summers ago. It started doing it again recently and seems to be getting worse. Now the engine light is on and it began to jump around in idle from just below 1k to just above. Recently it has stalled when engaging in 1st from a stop. No code reader nearby. Thoughts? Failing pump perhaps?

Could it be the oil pressure sending unit failing? Pretty easy to replace.

if the oil pressure level indicator light came on when your idle is way less than 1000rpm, your oil pressure is behaving normally. What's not normal is the stall issue

Update-ordered a new pressure sender. Found mine and a wire seems to be missing. Could this be the cause?[IMG]

i can't see images, but the oil pressure sender has only 1 wire.
i had a feeling that you don't have an oil pressure issue, you have a stalling issue

You have a CEL. Pick up a code reader and get the codes off the ECUs. At this point, you're shooting in the dark.

    yes.
Again, you do not have a pressure problem. your sole problem is the stalling.

Is it doing this even when the idle is above 1K RPM and not fluctuating?
If not, then as other have mentioned, it would be your idle.
If It does it regardless of fluctuations, then might be your PSU, but best way to determine is to attach a mechanical pressure gauge and cross reference the data that way.
Low pressure at idle is typically overall engineer wear or oil pressure pump. Hopefully none of those two.

ignore the light, its normal on a 360, if you had real low oil pressure, you will be walking home.
