Considering Nashville's growth, and the distance to the nearest existing dealers, I think it would make sense. If not a full-fledged dealer, perhaps a service-only facility.

IS there a local Ferrari Club in the greater Nashville area?

Thinking about moving to Nashville area in the next few months. Where do Ferrari owners get their cars serviced?

Eurosport in Hermitage does good work on older cars, otherwise Ferrari of Atlanta is the place to go. Michael Roth who runs Ferrari service is top notch and they have trucks making the trip to Nashville weekly.

What is the point if they have Atlanta?

    Ferrari isn't Toyota.

I agree with the statement. While I love Toyota (mainly for TPS/Lean, yet interestingly enough have never owned a Toyota vehicle), I think the value set that Ferrari owners have is quite different than Toyota owners.

As for the question, it could be how they view the market. And getting 'closer' to the customer (in more ways than one) is usually always a good thing.

Nashville's population has been growing over the past few years at a rate of ~100 people per day. Development dollars are pouring in, we have quite a few cranes in the sky, property values have increased significantly, and I've seen many more Ferrari's around in the past few years. That all could present itself as a good business opportunity. I could see it making sense.

Would be a big problem for Honda or Toyota

More like four hours away, less if you were actually driving the Ferrari...

Back in the early 90s, Thoroughbred Motorcars was the authorized dealer.

German Motorworks on 6th Avenue in Nashville.
Bret and Jonathan are great to work with and they have serviced my last two Ferrari's, a 430 and currently a 458.
There are always Ferrari's, Lambo's and McLaren being serviced along with all German cars.
They are honest, thorough and always find solutions that don't break the bank.
It is a very large facility with a lot of mechanics and virtually no turnover in their workforce.
I have been going to them for over four years and I would highly recommend them.
